While I agree, who doesn't look both ways when crossing but that car is going the wrong way down that street unless all the drivers of all those cars parked the wrong way on both sides of that narrow ass street.

Not to mention the driver doesn't even really start to decelerate until after he's nearly hit the kids. Driving that close to parked cars on both sides, he should be ready to stop at an instant, if only in case some asshat decides to pull out right as you're going by.
