So I can’t tell if this praising Megatron or shitting on Hot Rod. I recently introduced the 80’s transformers cartoons plus movie to my 4 year old. He’s loved them. Plus there’s a whole slew of easy to transform transformers based on rescue bots that then branched out to classic transformers. But I’ve had to listen to this fucking soundtrack on repeat though.

Same here my 4 year old loves them.

I have yet to let him watch the movie. His favorite transformer is Prowl. He is police and he loves anything police. Unfortunately Megatron melts Prowl and I don’t need a meltdown.

He gets to have that at the age of 6 just like did.
We just started Gen 2.

Mine loves Optimus and, to the chagrin of some, Hot Rod. He keeps trying to reprogram decepticons to be good guys. He did cry when Optimus died. But he toughed it out. That movie is better than it deserves to be.

I wish the movies had used the style in the opening of the bumblebee movie.

Lol my sons does the same. My favorite is Soundwave and he keeps trying to make him a good guy. Now Soundwave is the necessary evil but will protect cybertron if need be.
