I don't remember games being this expensive. Matter of fact I remember spending 90 bucks at most on Phantasy Star 2 as an import from Japan.

Yeah, that feels like Canadian pricing. My fuzzy memories from kid years tells me that most games were 50-60 back through NES days, except for some RPGs which justified 70-80 since they (potentially) had much more playtime.

Still have my receipt for Ultima 8 from Software Etc. I forgot how expensive some PC releases used to be. Game sucked and brought my 486 to its knees.

This kind of thing makes me think we might survive.
