As dumb as the shuttle concept was, the Buran was a 100x better shuttle than the Shuttle was.

Had a jet engine so it could actually fly
Fully automated from launch to landing
Didnt use stupid ass solid rockets for first stage

The first two worked so well that on its one and only flight it was able to successfully abort its landing attempt and circle back around then land. Bizarre how they could build a much more capable craft yet still be stupid enough to fall for building it in the first place.

ps i fucking hate the space shuttle and my jimmies shall be infinitely rustled knowing that piece of shit replaced the infinitely more capable and cheaper Saturn V. Fucking retarded politcians in the 70s genuinely set humanity back 75-100 years in space travel. You can not put into words how fucking retarded the Space Shuttle was.
