Funny, Strange, Random Pics

We just moved a few months ago. We’ve been turning a bonus room upstairs into a theater and gaming lounge. And hot wheels. Lots of hot wheels. Anyway, it has those sloped wall/ceilings like all cape cods.

decided to do this. Wife and kids thought the tranformers the movie one was a nice touch for the kids. The Empire poster is one I’ve had since about 1995. I found it in the attic of our local theater when they were having a fire sale after changing owners. It is marked copyright 1979. The owner was there and surmised it is his original. I don’t think empire was re-released again until about 1997 and those posters are dramatically different.

I gave him like $20 and it’s been a prize for a long time. It’s not mint by any means. But it’s a small bit of history that links my favorite movie and my small hometown theater that is now demolished but was a site of many memories. Most of the top ones involved messing around with girls in the back row now. But I have a few of going with my uncle back when he was cool to see Batman 89, TMNT, etc and all the nerd shit when my mom and dad were being addicts. Family can rescue a kid from a bad situation without even realizing it.

Edit: next up on the wall will be Raiders of the Lost Ark and maybe the original iconic Jurassic Park poster.
