No, my youngest was studying at the Houston Ballet for 3 years.
I visited 2-3 times a year - we did a few adventures - we drove from Houston to Orlando, and stuff like that . . I got to travel a LOT of the USA roads . . a lot more than most american's do apparently....

She left there earlier this year, and got a call from the Queensland ballet (About 1000 klm north of here) and she's now living up there.

The Ballet in Houston pretty much got rid of all their 'foreign' students in about 6 months . . . things got pretty damn Trumpy down there . . .

happy to have her 'home' again - even though it's a 10 hour drive.

As an Aussie who has driven in Houston, I can tell you - it's fucking weird man - those 'frontage' roads? wow . . a total shitshow for actually getting places.

Simple on-ramp and (as you call them) cloverleaf is a brilliant system that actually works.

"Frontage"/Access roads aren't for getting anywhere other than places that line the Freeways as well as on and off of them. In the picture below, you shouldn't be driving on the frontage road except to access those businesses.

People are pretty bad at merging in rush hour traffic or lane closures but pretty good about it generally when not faced when rat overcrowding conditions. When it becomes an F1 race and your destination seems hours away, as they say in the F1 movie, no one wants to give up position. I-10 Katy Freeway is one of the largest Freeway in the world (China's G4 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway and Canada's Toronto? 401 are both bigger, IIRC). The freeway below purportedly is I-45 South.

I haven't driven anything motorized without a roof since I flipped a Big Red 350 ES three wheeler over on myself in 1987 and broke two spinous processes. I had to Dr shop to find someone who would let me play football again. Now that I am in my mid-50's I find more creative way to hurt myself; I still haven't recovered from being dragged down a flight of stairs trying to solo move a generator during the aftermath of Beryl. Track looks awesome though.
