omg i just thought of it, thats his eyeball, they pulled it out and pushed it to the side to put the throat down

Never heard of this before so I looked it up.

It actually doesn't "break" it's own bones, that's kinda misleading. On it's hind legs, attacked or restrained the back toes will retract and the bone will break away from the cartilage and pierce the skin. They're not surrounded by keratin and are the actual bone. They can leave deep punctures and bleeding cuts.

Amphibians have a pretty damn good healing factor as is, so when the frog is relaxed, bone retracts and skin heals.
