Anyone been? Wife and I are planning our spring vacation now and thinking of going. Very expensive but from what we've heard its worth it.

It has always been described to me as a huge waste of money. Even by residents of Ecuador.
Not something to do unless you really love the history or whatever.
Go to Lima, spend half that money on blow and have way more fun.
