Holy fuck is this hilarious.

Ninja Gaiden 4 graphical settings are fucking dog shit on PC.

Set to DLSS and no options for quality, performance, etc - nothing. Just "DLSS". You can set DLAA without DLSS on (Didn't know you could do that) - and you have 6 graphical options to set. FSR is console based "Set to Resolution, Balanced, Performance".

What a fucking joke.

Played for all of about 10 seconds before realizing this game will be utter fucking trash. (I'll try to give it at least an hour)

Holy dumbed down fucking game. IF this is what Microsoft thinks of what to do when bringing new games to their console and limiting PC, they really are going to get their asses handed to them even more than they already are.

Eh, reviews are exactly what I expected, knowing months ago that Team Ninja took a big shit on the series' lore by introducing this new character that nobody asked for (and definitely won't want once they start hearing some dialogue), but also that the gameplay was by Platinum Games. Platinum has an almost perfect track record for making excellent combat systems and by all accounts that holds true here as well. Unfortunately that same track record holds for making PC ports that range from "playable, I guess" to "dogshit". They make console games, full stop, so I didn't even bother preloading the game on anything besides Series X. Just save yourself the headache and download it there, switch it to 120Hz performance mode (which actually runs at 120fps, not the usual 40fps in a 120Hz container), and accept that that's the only way Platinum ever intended anyone to experience it.

Meh, yeah I already played through the tutorial went into mission 1 and am bored to tears. So I just deleted it.

STALKER 2 is leaving in 10 days... did they ever manage to patch that into something worth playing? It wasn't terrible at release but there were just too many bugs and dumb design decisions for me to keep going past the second area.

It will be back as “New to Gamepass” in three months so you’ll be able to play it again. 😀 But I never got past the second area either.

Found a "worth playing in 2025?" video from like a week ago and it was basically a hard no. A-life is still not even close to fully functional even by STALKER 1 standards and not anything actually new, and their solution to all the UE5 jank the game has is to "upgrade" to 5.5.4 which is such a massive undertaking for any large game that it'll probably be mid-2026 before it's done.
