The one that immediately comes to mind is The Last of Us since I played it recently. It's a great game overall but enemies don't react to your companions AT ALL which can take you right out of the game.
Yeah, not taking anything away from tlou, I haven't played it yet, but looks like an amazing game. But I was watching day9 play and your companion, bill i think his name is, is like there are a bunch up ahead, we should sneak. After day9 doing a few attempts of more of an ambush than a sneak and failing he decided to try and really sneak this time and after sneaking around for 5-10 minutes just to move forward a tiny bit and the enemy was finally pathing back to where day9 could stealth kill him, Bill blasts the dude and point blank range with shotgun, of course, alerting everything in the area. Couldn't stop laughing at that. The one that immediately comes to mind is The Last of Us since I played it recently. NHL 93 on SNES. Easy to trick the goalie by skating around the goal, effectively making him stuck to one side!
I will never forget the way the HL2 Soldier Squad AI lobbed Grenades and flushed me out of pill boxes in certain locations it was so amazing. Definitely a memory that has stuck with me.Hl2 had the best ai.
I know I'm late to the The Last of Us discussion (I don't own a PS3 so sue me) but the AI presented in the demo was outstanding. What we got in the final product was completely different. If consumers took developers to task over this shit, it would probably put an end to this kind of misrepresentation.I'm going to be honest, this thread should be a white list because I'm pretty surealmostevery game should be on this list for shitty AI.
