They may say this, but if you put your Steam password in a password manager and drop your master password in your will, how is Gaben going to be the wiser?
It's still theoretically illegal, meaning if some AI system notices, the account will be locked.

Do not underestimate the capacity of modern AI/dataminers to notice stuff like that.

They really don't give a fuck about that, they'll only care if you report the account was stolen. Maybe in the future they will but currently steam account ownership is irrelevant, they don't care where the payments are coming from or who owns the account or if the info is even legit instead of living on the 5th Saturn satellite. They'll care if you do a chargeback or if your account is involved in scamming people(after enough reports) and that's about the whole of it.

My friends, I stopped buying games in steam until I play until bored or finish every game in my steam library. I have not bought a game in 3 years. I anticipate my next purchase in 2800.

Same, and once I play through them I will probably want to replay like a third of them, heck already replaying the quake games since its been like 20 years since I touched them

I'm super bad about this. I have a massive Steam library and the vast majority of the games I purchase are widely considered good/amazing, but I haven't even installed most of them, much less played them.

Last year I started trying to systematically play through them and it's worked to a degree, but I don't maintain it long enough to make any real progress. It's not like I don't spend any time playing games, because I do, but I'm ashamed of how often I just end up loading Death Must Die (or something similarly brainless) while listening to a podcast/YouTube video.

It's the same with my hardback D&D collection. I have purchased literally hundreds of books in the last few years and instead of slowly going through them, they sit on my shelf. I've killed my drive with too many options.

I've been paying for Humble Monthly Bundle for like 5+ years, I don't even redeem all the keys because my Steam library is so big.

When I worked at Geek Squad there were three of us that tried pawning off all our unredeemed and duplicate keys every time some one new got hired. I wasn’t too bad, but one guy had quadruple the number unused keys as I had games in my library.

I'll go be poor somewhere else. I have about 35 steam games and maybe 10 of the free epic games.

I wish I only had 35 games. When I was a kid I appreciated the few games I had and played the shit out of them. Now I got games flowing out of my wherever and most of them mean nothing to me.

Fuck that. People who just DL their free games are using up their bandwidth and costing them money. He’s a hero.

Hitting a bandwidth cap is a sign of either a) a shitty internet plan or b) a degenerate porn addiction.

I can count the number of times that's ever happened to me on none of my hands.

Shitty internet plans are sometimes the cost of living in an area where a certain criminal element has great difficulty in finding you.
