Ive touched the hot stove too many times.
I've learned never to play games in early access at this point. Pretty much if it isn't steamdeck certified, it's going to run like dogshit.

He made a game. Lefties get mad at stuff. He refuses to capitulate. They get madder. He relents and apologizes. The right says fuck you, game dies. It's an age old tale at this point.I have no idea what is going on.
Who is the person, what hat, who cares and why do they care, am I supposed to mad over this because I am Left wing or because I am right wing, did the game even look good, I don't trust people with anime avatars so who is this Grummz person and why should I care that they are calling this other person whom I don't know a cuck, and where do people even find out about this shit in the first place? Is it on reddit? I generally avoid reddit for anything other than answers to very specific questions or porn. I will go to reddit for porn.
Protip about reddit, change the 'www' part to 'old' and you can view the naughty stuff without having to log in, just have to click the yes button on whatever the hell that question is they ask.

I went from a LG 38GL950G-B 144hz (175hz OC) to a LG C4 42 then to a LG G4 55. The LG C4 did seem to be a bit snappier and smoother in games but it could've been my imagination. The colors and black levels were a HUGE upgrade too. It would be very difficult to go back to an ISP or VA monitor after experiencing OLED.I'm thinking about upgrading my 32" HP Omen ISP 1440p 165 hz 1ms monitor to a 42" LG C4 OLED 120 hz tv that allegedly has 0.03ms latency.
In realistic application, how fast is the latency on the LG C4 tv? Has anyone tried to use an OLED tv for a monitor rather than a trad monitor?
Do you use it for any other tasks such as work? I'm wondering how it will work as a monitor for both work and games.I went from a LG 38GL950G-B 144hz (175hz OC) to a LG C4 42 then to a LG G4 55. The LG C4 TV was also brighter in games and didn't dim as much as the dedicated OLED monitors I tried as well.
The manufacturing costs are way cheaper for disc and digital than cartridges. That is mostly why games never went up.When we were kids games cost the equivalent of $175. We've got it great now, and the only truly surprising thing is how cheap games are now in real terms. I suspect the decline in real cost is part of what's driving everything to try to be a godawful live service product.
I used the LG G4 for work for awhile but I'm paranoid about potential burn in and moved back to the LG 38 IPS for work and discord etc.Do you use it for any other tasks such as work? I'm wondering how it will work as a monitor for both work and games.

What makes you think the initial costs actually reflected reality and were not massively marked up? Given that the price never really went up, I'd say that's a certainty. There's no way the manufacturing differential account for 50% of the real cost.

So the pricing now reflects supply and demand with competition is what you are saying? In other words exactly what I was pointing out. There used to be a gaming monopoly and now it's a huge wide open market.Prices are never primarily based on cost. They're based on supply/demand relationship with a lower floor of cost. Real prices of games have gone down, and they've gone down more than can be accounted for by the cost of producing and distributing physical media.
