Yeah patents tend to have to be quite specific. I don’t think you could patent the simple concept of tap to pay agnostic of what sort of device is receiving the tap, that’s too general.

I have a few patents and really the more specific you make them the more novel they are. I am sure this is exclusively for tap to pay on a controller vs just tap to pay in general
