I don't really follow streamers. But I had no idea the WOW streamer crowd ran off to Old School Runescape of all things.
Well, they already ran off to WoW Classic, then FFXIV, then they made Hardcore, and now it's the next thing until people aren't entertained by it anymore. They would play a combined "WW II Concentration Camp MMORTS + Hitler Dating Sim" if it would bring in viewers.the WOW streamer crowd ran off to Old School Runescape of all things
POSTAL 2 is a shooter no?Well I fucked up, just went to add without looking at the list. Its all literally sex visual novels.

I don't really play much in the way of these games, they mostly look stupid and terrible. I did play HunniePop though and the puzzles were pretty fun.I think Gaming news is probably a better fit for this, then game sales thread.

Granted, these all do look like complete ass. thanks but no thanks. haha.
Tonight I did something cathartic. I sold almost all of my GBA games and DS games. Sold all my Xbox 1 games and probably 90% of my 360 games. Parted with a Soul Blazer SNES cart with box I paid $10 for in 2012 at a yard sale of all places. Parted with Rock n Roll racing which I never liked and my original copy of Out of this World/Another World. Bittersweet. I kept a few DS and GBA castlevania and Zelda games. Sold all my FF advance games.
the only mild one I hesitated on was Golden Sun the Lost Age…I had never bothered to play it. Also Phantom hourglass. I hated the fucking controls and wasn’t about to fight through it.
It was crazy how many 360 games I still had that somehow I had on Steam or elsewhere. And I had a lot of PS2 and PS1 games I would never go back and play.
It was just this giant stack of mostly nostalgia that was taking up space and doing nothing. I’d probably finished only 60-70% but at the same time I knew I wasn’t going back to play Jade Empire on my Xbox anytime soon. It was like purging a backlog. So why did you get rid of them, and why was it cathartic?
From 18-28, I just lived out of a duffel bag. I had random shit like a TV or a chop saw here and there, but I moved every 6-13 months and only ever went with a duffel bag.It was just this giant stack of mostly nostalgia that was taking up space and doing nothing. I horde SNES like a crazy person though. And finally saying “yeah, I’ve got this emulated and I’m never going to bother playing Soul Blazer or Out of this World again” felt good.
So all that was part of it. Then as I started to figure out if I really wanted to get something that could play my ps1 and ps2 collection again I realized I either already owned them in some way elsewhere or they were readily available in a remastwered version relatively cheap. Or I was admitting I don’t care for the franchise. I had a lot of metal gear solid and frankly, I don’t really care for that genre much anymore. Same goes for the splinter cell shit I still had.
maybe it’s me, but I can’t point to one “killer app” outside halo on Xbox or 360. And I loved my 360.
I'm in the same boat, so fed up with the dungeon rush elitist crowd, another toy, another pet, another mount loop and RS - i went to RS3 and I really dig it - gives you a really charming and grindy sandbox that does reward you for exploring and does not punish you for playing the way you want to play the game (compared to wow especially)
There’s some of my grandparents in me there. Never threw anything away and kept it all maintained and well cared for. That’s the psychological part to me.From 18-28, I just lived out of a duffel bag. It doesn't have to be some deep, emotional thing. Just toss or donate or sell stuff that takes up space and never sees use.
Throwing shit out feels good. You never miss it like you think you're going to miss it.
