I don't think I've spent more than 30 seconds combined across my entire gaming lifetime in a character creator screen. However long it takes me to find the "next" button. It is first on my list of things that don't matter, second would be any sort of "home decorating" feature.

I'll play whatever. Used to be whatever gender got the best bonus in the game. That's no longer a thing in almost all games. Even D&D let's half orcs be wizards now and shit. Gender is a thing of the past, did you not know or did you just assume?
I play BG3 a lot, when I start a new run I pick one and do random X times. If it doesn't do anything for me I change geners and do random for the same X times. Real complicated, it's normall something like 3-4. I've learned from what I've seen posted online lot of people must spend a LOT of time getting ugly ass characters cause a quick random is not even close.

The people claiming they play females because they "don't want to stare at man ass" are closet fembois. The fact that you're staring at ANY ass in a fucking virtual world and worried about sexual arousal is wild to me and says more about you than you know.

I don't remember why. I played a ranger and yes kept at all even when they sucked. I pulled, tracked, and even tanked on occasion. I don't remember I was either an wood elf or half elf or something, male.
My second character someone game me was a shaman and I think a female, only a bot to buff and slow shit. It really didn't matter.
