I wonder why nobody has taken the Arkham City/Insomniac Spider-man/GTA approach to the Punisher. Probably too white and fascist for marvel to license. Given who runs that business now.
That’s interesting because Motion Twin is releasing Windblown which is in EA now. I’ve been playing it a bit here and there. Very different than Dead Cells with the 3rd person 3D perspective, gameplay has some overlap but not a huge amount. Still Roguelite. The biggest turn off is the characters and dialogue. Script is terrible.
Maybe they had their Dead Cells A-team working on Castlevania and the B-team on Windblown.
Yea dead cells is my most played roguelite. Did 5bc, got some hitless run costumes etc. Windblown is an amazing design with horrible characters and story. The animal thing really needs to die out. Furrys truly ruin everything. Windblown is a great coop experience though (up to 3p).
How involved is motion twin involved in this? On the trailer it made it seem like they were there only as an advisory role.
Either way the animations and gameplay look super smooth. Could end up great or just meh.
Anyone else look at the last couple of pages of game reveals and just yawn? They all seem so contrived, redundant, and copy/paste. Or, just flat out boring looking.
Are we due for another tangential discussion about there being no innovation or new and interesting ideas/mechanics/stories anymore?
