I get why they exist for the company. For the consumers themselves though, there really isn’t a reason to want exclusives. Just pick your preferred platform and go if exclusives didn’t exist.

Well I mean I wouldn’t buy one if they offered nothing different. Platform on its own is meaningless.

If someone wants to play video games then they need to buy a machine that runs video games. Exclusivity has fuck all to do with it. Argument makes zero sense.

If I want to play golf then I have to buy a set of golf clubs from one of a dozen different manufacturers and they all sell the same clubs to play the same game. So I then just have to pick out which platform I prefer. Or just not play at all. Its going tobe the same thing with video games.

Golf is a REALLY bad example of the point you are trying to make. You can buy whatever clubs you want, youre still not getting onto any of the private courses near you unless you buy in or know someone.

Golf has gotten a lot more approachable for the general public since Tiger but its still got a bigger exclusivity complex than most sports.

I'm a member of a country club and originally joined just for golf. If they will take me they will take anyone. Not really it's very rural they will take anyone that pays the fee and doesn't wear shorts while playing golf, there are always public courses.

Did not know, ours doesn't. I played the country club of LA when Shaq lived there and they requiredd long pants and a shirt with a collar. I am now informed, though I can't play anymore.
