Was the question too difficult? The game has nothing to do with Norse mythology, aside from Fey or "Laufey". He (Jaffe) mentions this.
He doesn't seem to know who Laufey (the mythological figure) is, period. I just thought it was funny that the original designer of the IP seems to know absolutely shit all about the franchise anymore, which is fine since the 2018 reboot happened after he was gone and it seems like he despised the reboot even before this.

I didn't listen to what he had to say, but what does knowing or not knowing Norse mythology have to with GoW: Laufey? I found the trailer to be really lame, with some nice combat animations (as expected really), but there is nothing relating to Norse myths other than Fey herself. Wherever she is just allows the dev team to be lazy by trying to cram as many other myths into the mix without really developing anything. As of now, this game seems totally unrelated to any Lore within the previous GoW series (other than Fey), the setting isn't specifically related to any single mythology (which is lame).
Is the character in the game a myth? She’s supposed to be just Kratos’ dead wife sent to hades. I don’t think it’s the same Fey as the Norse mythology character.

I don’t know a lot of Norse mythos but Laufey is a god and mother to Loki, and in the GOW game this Laufey is just a dead mortal.

We're past, "how do you know it tastes like shit? / guy shitting on the plate," and firmly at, "how do you know it's gay? / guy eating a literal bag of dicks."

And we got here because people didn't bully these retards enough from the start.

I scrolled down to the reviews after looking at the screens and saw the exact review I hoped to see:

Monday night I played the Skyrim opening level for an hour.

Then the next night this game was shadow dropped and played it for an hour.

It’s imperfect and needs some refinement but has a lot of potential. Felt like Skyrim meets Dark Souls. Worth it to get it for $8 now rather than when it’s $49.99 in 18 months on its official release.

right now it’s only about 2 hours of content.

Nah, in the last 2 Dad of War games, Fey (faye, Laufey) was clearly stated to be of the Giant race (not a God like Odin / Thor), she is given a lot of importance in Ragnarok. Having a side story all about HER isn't a bad idea, as it could be interesting, but from what I've seen in that trailer, its done poorly and is just riding off the coattails of the actual God of War franchise.

Well, that isn't much of a criticism really. He helped make a truly iconic franchise based on Greek mythology. The reworks changed Kratos a lot from what he was in the original 3, so to me, it would be understandable if Jaffe didn't like what they did, and to now see them changing the very nature of the God of War franchise would also be irritating. The name "Laufey" was totally meaningless to me, but I knew it was referring to Faye/Fey-whatever. Did Kratos or Atreus ever specifically use that name?

I wasn't criticizing Jaffe. She kept her true identity secret while alive but I believe a big part of 2018's finale is finding out who she was. One of the murals also refers to Kratos as Farbauti but it's in Norse runes and the game doesn't actually draw attention to it so it's almost more of an easter egg than an actual plot point.
