Forgone revenue - if they hadn't announced, they'd have kept up their campaign momentum, thus money lost, although in a strict economic sense it's not considered lost money on the books. But for normies, if I had money rolling in and I did something stupid to lessen it, i'd consider myself as having lost that money.

Or, most of the money comes in early and late, and the middle is always shit on every kickstarter because that's just how it works?
