Ghost in the Shell: Arise

I told my wife I cried during that scene. She laughed. Then I asked her to watch the series and forward 6 months later when we finally finished the second series and got to that point she balled like Niagra Falls.

Both series are front and center in my Hall of Fame anime shelf. The animation and depth of stories was top notch. It's been a decade since SAC! Fuck I feel old. My sincere hope is a full series. One other thing, yes I am going there, but I think the English VA, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, was superior to the original Japanese VA for the series.

I've always found all the ghost in the shells have had excellent dubbing. Don't think i've ever watched them subbed, unlike most other anime.

More info has come out about this. Basically it's a prequel and is going to be released as a four part OVA. The first episode comes out on DVD July 26th.
