It just gets chopped in translation so much. "God is dead" is a different idea than "God is dead in the hearts of men". To be fair he uses both, but he uses the full version first and the short as an echo of it. It's an important difference if you read the rest of the essays. That Marx quote is spot on.

Chopping it leads to stupid shit like whatever this is. The full idea is poetry itself. And while it is indisputably atheistic in tone and intent the idea is mirrored in theism itself and not particularly disagreeable.

From some shit I've read previously, this actually sounds like something he believes in.

Indeed someone linked a recent FB post by him he's super Conservative and pretty religious it seems, as that tends to go hand in hand, at least in certain parts of the Country.

Eh, the professor was always a christian. He always believed that Christ is the son of God, but he just went emo because his mommy died and thus took other people also not having a crisis of faith personally.

People die. Wah. I have bigger issues with a God that would let an asshole like that in heaven at the last minute with a JK attitude than any of the debates they tried pushing in this film.

It's not a new move for Sorbo either, this isn't his first Christian film.
