Luckily for me, I guess, as my wife had read the book already and before the movie started said she didn't like it.I watched this last night with my wife. Married people should never watch this movie. Holy shitballs friends. Good movie, but damn.
This movie is basically the horror film equivalent of red pill propaganda. So many things. Beta orbiter used and discarded when no longer useful. Alpha male who loses his edge when he begins settling. Woman trapping man with baby. False rape claim. Women being able to love unconditionally. Holding frame against the reporter causes the woman to fall in love with her husband again, etc etc.
It's also complete fiction. This movie is basically the horror film equivalent of red pill propaganda. So many things. Beta orbiter used and discarded when no longer useful. Holding frame against the reporter causes the woman to fall in love with her husband again, etc etc.
Thank fuck that didn't happen. I don't care for her as an actress and I do not think she could have pulled it off either.Apparently Reese Witherspoon purchased the rights to the book with the intent of starring in this herself, but Fincher talked her out of it. She's a good actress and all, but I can't see her in this role. The chick they had was perfect.
