The description sounds like a merge of "future man" and "the booth at the end"

Hell yea!

Always down for Gore Verbinski, and I hope it is as unhinged as that trailer looks lol

Looks like those that saw it at Fantastic Fest loved it

I've seen this before as art in an RPG book from like 1990. It's almost identical and it's bugging the fuck out of me because I can't recall which game.

I was thinking Shadowrun as well, but not sure. Shit is bugging me.

That was my first guess, but I remember something similar in RIFTS. Hey nothing wrong with playing role-playing games when you were younger, you were just ahead of the curve.

Went with 4 other people Sat night and saw this. We all liked this, but none of us liked it as much as we anticipated we would. The movie definitely drags at points and could have probably shaved 20 minutes off with little effect. There was a pretty big plot point that was played off as a reveal... but that was pretty obvious from a mile away for 3/5 of us. The ending left a lot to interpretation, and I was surprised that none of the 4 people I went with had the same view on it as I had. I'm pretty sure my theory is correct, but I'd need to spoiler that for sure, and have no idea how to do that :D
