I never saw the movie, but I just remember they're being a lot of controversy around it at the time.

I did see Super Mario Brothers in the theater though! Still one of the greatest video game movie adaptations of all time.

Her career took off afterwards. That thing came out in 2003. She got Big Love in 2006. Hell, she was also in Kids. Look at her acting credits and I don't think it had any impact whatsoever.
