She's still around and in high profile because with Joffrey dead she's next on the list of characters that everyone most likes to hate and hopes they come a spectacularly bad end. Shows like this need characters like that.

Did I miss the Sparrows' presence on the show before this season? They just showed up out of nowhere to take over the city. Is this supposed to show how much of a milquetoast Tommen is?

I like how they have sansa tell that one chick off and you think she may be ok and then she is getting raped the next scene. Poor sansa, I never did like her, but at least she wasn't asking for it. Sometimes you want to feel bad for theon, but then you remember he is there because he is a dumb ass.

No, it's supposed to show how far to shit things have gone since Tyrion lost power. The wars, ravaging of the farming lands, etc, have all led to widespread poverty and a bunch of angry folk have turned what was a minor religious wing into a major player.

It would be more thematically consistent and satisfying if Sansa outmaneuvers LF at the end of her arc. Her plotline is more of a medieval coming-of-age story the way Cersei broke it to her: Life isn't about princesses and unicorns, it's about betrayal, cruelty and deprivation.

The showrunners pruned a lot of possibilities for her to outplay LF so it really just leaves Theon and maybe turning Robyn Arryn against LF. Maybe she arranges to marry the kid and reveals to him who threw his mommy out the moon door.

Tommen just doesn't have a tendency towards violence. He should definitely have stood up to the sparrow when he took the queen, but Tommen didn't know what to do. The reality is he should have ordered the kings guard to cut down the sparrows men when they would not allow him to talk to the sparrow a couple of episodes ago.

Sansa was a bit disappointing, its like she didn't learn anything from littlefinger. Not that she really could have stood up to Ramsay but she could have tried the old " I am your wife not your whore, get reek out of here or else I will develop a permanent headache."

For those asking why LF allowed Sansa to be married to Ramsay - he needed legitimacy for the the Bolton betrayal to Cersei. As someone earlier in the thread mentioned - LF is trying to get claims, albeit weak ones, to various Lord titles throughout the realm from various kings. This will later make it easier for him to diplomatically convince the nobility of those areas to pay fealty to him, like how he's slowly doing that in the Vale with the lords there.

The arya story changes make sense. The sansa ones also don't bother me. I'll have to see the north one in action the next couple episodes to have an opinion on that. Dany's story was shit in the books for the most part, so you can only go up. And really, I'm ready for grandma wrinkles to murder the fuck out of everyone with a warm smile, so bring on lady house tyrell. If they could do some extra walk of shames, my body is ready.

Now please just fucking murder the whole dorne story line. It's awful. Really awful. Every second of it makes me cringe.
