BTW, since nobody is posting about it in this thread, fair warning. Episodes 9 and 10 were leaked early, so tread carefully everywhere on the internet if you want to avoid spoilers.

Haha, why would someone wanna read a spoiler for something that's gonna air in a few fucking hours?

What a bunch of impatient, ravenous nerds!

Well, there were hints about him doing something like that in the books, but sure was horrifying to watch.

There was a couple times in the books he says he would kill his own child or something a long those lines but now people are acting like Book Stannis would never do that

The point is Book Stannis DIDNT do that, nor was there a compelling reason the TV show needed too either. It's shock for the sake of shock because they're amateurs when outside the boundaries of what GRRM has given them.

or maybe stannis does do shit like that in the books when his entire army is about to die. He says he would kill his child if it saves the lives of many didnt he?

It's the same reason they decided to graphically kill Talisa in the show, when Robb doesn't even bring Jeyne to the wedding due to that whole 'bringing his wife would be a slap in Walder Frey's face thing'
