Are we on to that shit again? His options were:

1. Freeze, starve, and die where we are
2. Freeze, starve, and die on the way to Winterfell
3. Starve out Castle Black and die (bonus of starving out the Night's Watch, The Wildlings, and becoming Ice Zombies faster than otherwise)
4. Burn Shireen and put faith in the Red God so we can move forward.

What a choice right?

I've thought about it a lot and I've decided I would happily burn one, two, maybe even three of my own children to save the world.

Little fuckers are annoying anyway, and I can always make more if I need to.

I will not be stopped. Not by you or the Lannisters or the Starks or anyone! I will rule this kingdom or see it burnt to ashes around me!
Real noble guy.

Yeaaaah, I dont think "noble" was one of the terms thought of when GRRM created Stannis.

Severe, rigid, steadfast in his convictions, but not a man of true honor. (I know post above was sarcastic this was aimed at tj.)

random question but how many times has Stannis gone grammar police in the show, I can only think of the 2 times correcting people on Fewer. I can only think of 3-4 times altogether

Maybe it's just me and I'm wise enough to know that crying like a little bitch isn't going to save me.. but if I'm going to be burned at the stake my last words would be "destroy them all in my name" or the situational equivalent.

That part has nothing to do with Stannis.

Don't click if you don't want to be able to guess what might happen in the finale based on the clips they use for "previously on"

Nothing of value was said in that scene really so if it is shown in the preview it does sound like he will make an appearance. Well Benjen showing up is unexpected but awesome. Tomorrow needs to come! It also shoes Serio but its doesnt have anything to do with his return. did last week show Trant in the Previously on ?

[livejournal] That immolation by fire scene really did not work for me, because, for some reason, it reminded me of an execution scene in a (great) egyptian movie titled Destiny (Al Massir) by Youssef Chahine. In Chahine's film, he showed the victim melting down in the purest tradition of horror films (wax on skull style). So I spent that whole scene in Game of Throne wondering... what will they show and how, if anything? So yeah, it did not work for me, but by no fault of the serie. [/livejournal]

also

If Benjen is showing up is it at the wall? i've heard spoilers saying Hodor/bran does make an appearance but not confirmed. I mean how many years will Benjen have been gone?

Well a year used to be a season of 20+ episodes for a traditional TV series. So two HBO seasons = ~1 year makes sense.

The year wait between each season represents a year in Westeros. There's enough references to elapsed time throughout the series to make this obvious

Obviously a lot of time transpires in most locales between most episodes. Hence how LF can get around Westeros so much.
