I posted about this discussion in the no-spoilers thread, figure they should have some input since one of the suggested solutions is to have the book readers who don't want spoilers just stick to that thread once Season 6 starts.

When season 6 starts if there is no book yet then it is 1 thread with spoiler tags for unaired information, that damn simple.

The concept of multiple threads is a place to put information afterwards if someone doesn't want to follow the rules. That damage could already be done by then though if a mod isn't awake at the time the spoiler is posted. Everyone else is playing by the rules by posting in the two different threads so they will still play by the rules and use spoiler tags.

Basically the only reason for multiple threads is for proof that someone isn't playing well with others. If they don't want to obey them they could post spoilers in this thread all day long.

The only rule will have to be the book readers can't go "Well in the books it worked like this" in the non-spoiler thread. Make the non-spoiler thread only talk about the TV show. Don't discuss inconstancies between the source and the screen adaptation.

The only real storyline unexplored is the Iron Islands and what they've been doing this whole time

Why is this even a question. It's the title of the fucking thread. If you don't want spoilers, don't come to the spoiler thread.

You already know the answer is going to be 3 threads. There are people that just can't play nice and use [.spoiler][./spoiler] to discuss unaired stuff. Because of that I see no other choice. All 5 of them can sit in their own thread discussing pictures of things yet to come.

so knowing roughly what will happen in series 1-5 because you read the books does not hinder your enjoyment of the show. But knowing episode summaries from IMDB does? #rerolledlogic

Well if that's the only thing we're going by, now it's fixed.

My enjoyment of the show is hindered when unaired images get posted #coconutoil

What were you even thinking posting this in the non-spoiler thread?
How the fuck is it at all a spoiler? The Iron Islands were shown in season 2 and then pretty much completely fell off the face of the planet. Do the TV people think the entire landmass has disappeared?

you weren't even watching the show until a few days ago, I don't know why you even read/contribute to each thread.

a general question. do you guys give a shit if we talk about book stuff relating to past seasons/episodes of the show as long as it doesnt spoil what will happen in future seasons/episodes?

Gavin didn't even watch the show or read the books and he knows more about the differences in the content between the show and the books than some of you.
