I was asked a question by someone in the thread, I answered them in spoiler tags. I guess I could have taken it a step further and just PMed him. Saying 'They might do more with the Greyjoys' is not a spoiler..
You did fine. The person who said, "Here are the major things that happened in the books but not the show!" didn't. It's no big deal though, I agree.

the dude is enjoying life, at least i hope he is, because every time i see him he looks ghostly pale and very unhealthy. maybe he gets his thrills from drinking the tears of his disappointed fans.
He's crazy, he has two small houses on a regular street, an old car, lives a very humble life. Has a net worth of $15 million

I'd be surprised if he finished the next book by season 7. There's almost no chance of it being finished by season 6 unless they delay the season by like 2 years or something.

I can't say I fully know the pipeline to get from a author's typewriter to bookshelves but I'd have to imagine for it to be out before next season the final revision would need to be in the hands of the the publishers by now?

The last press announcement was it would be in bookstores before next season, but who knows.

I hope to god he is not winging this shit, and at least has a detailed plot map for HBO to work off of he croaks.

Merging the threads won't work. Even if the show catches up book readers are still working with way more information. Knowledge of plots the show had yet to develop or is simply skipping and how that relates to the overall plot of the show. Not to mention decades of crazy ass theories to draw from. Non-readers would have to delve into the westeros wiki to make any sense of it. Any discussion a non reader would want to have about the show would be lost in a torrent of book knowledge.

It's worked fine for 5+ years. No need to change shit.

So as far as the actual show goes, my guess is that Doran has no idea what's going on in King's Landing with the Sparrows, or he wouldn't allow either Myrcella or Jaime to return there. The Martells and the Tyrells will have to work together to dismantle the Sparrows, because neither family can allow Myrcella and Tommen to be outed as the products of incest, or both families lose their connection to the throne. This is where we'll really have to wonder if the High Sparrow is a true fanatic, or if he's smart enough to make concessions for the good of the realm. If he outs Myrcella and Tommen, the rightful king becomes Stannis Baratheon, but Stannis is a heretic. I honestly think the only person with an actual claim the Faith would support would be Daenerys, but god knows when she'll ever make it across the Narrow Sea.

if somebody can send faceless men to kill pate or balon greyjoy(possibly) then why hasnt cersei or whomever send one to deal with the high sparrow? is he that untouchable in his ranks of zealots? the faceless man would take the form of one of his guys and deal with him. or perhaps thats how arya ends up back in westeros?

This spoiler stuff is getting embarrassing.

Most of the reason for posting is figuring out what comes next, I don't understand people limiting the information they can use and having their own special snowflake rules for spoilers.

Cersei is in prison you twit. Kind of hard to send a message to the House of Black and White in Braavos when you're locked in a dungeon cell in King's Landing. Also, the Crown is basically broke and probably can't afford what it would cost to hire a faceless man.

Maybe you missed the part where faceless men are extremely expensive and Cersei has literally no money left. Baelish tells the small council that they could hire an entire army of sellswords for half the cost of faceless men killing a merchant, much less a princess (Dany).

The theory about Balon getting offed by the FM is because Euron gave them a priceless dragon egg.

Dude it's been nearly two weeks since Cersei was locked up. Astro's memory isn't exactly top shelf.

Is this the no pussy shit thread or the pussy shit thread? Or is it a recto vaginal fistula thing where it's intermittent?
