This looked pretty damn good. If what they showed was the PS5 version, I look forward to seeing the PC one. I could not really judge the story aspect as that is akin to reading half a chapter in a book and judging the whole book. I am very curious as to how much true freedom of play a player gets. An example would be the scene where they drive out at the airport. Could I literally run my car into a landing aircraft? The traffic scenes appeared to be better done than 2077 but until we get real players playing the game, that is hard to judge.

Looked like a story mission, so while in free roam I'm sure you could, if you tried that during the mission you'd likely get a "mission failed" screen once you got too far away from the lead vehicle.

Despite not being interested in modern GTA games, I watched it and it looks pretty solid if you're into that kind of game. I'm not into the whole drug dealing/robbery/criminal simulator myself, but I understand it's more fun to break the rules than follow endless protocols and procedures as a law officer.
That said, I'd really like a similar open-world with good graphics where you play a no-rule law officer, something between Crackdown and Judge Dredd where you're just stomping criminals left and right.

The video game industry is waaaaayy too woke for this game to ever be made. It'd be really awesome, but X would lose its fucking mind over non-stop beat downs and stick time for joggers and legumers.
Graphically the game looks amazing. Mechanically, it's goofy in some aspects. Oh well, that's ALWAYS been the case with GTA.
