Of course they are, aside from a handful of indies with like 20 employees max the whole industry is. I just think that they're talking about something completely unimportant like it's the end of the world. Romance in video games peaks at the level of 'cringy as fuck Twlight fanfic', and it's optional whether you want to go down that route or just be 'partners in crime'. People are reacting to this like it's another Last of Us 2, AC: Shadows, Wolverine etc. and I just don't see it. I fully expect there to be some cringy writing from activists, and for the humor to be toned down and careful not to offend the people we're not allowed to make fun of, but there's degrees to this shit.

All this Lucia=girlboss/Jason=cuck bullshit is just a distraction from the real issues like no physical discs and the 99.999% chance that the faggots at Take-Two will insist that every single bit of content post-release is made to chase that Shark card money and absolutely nothing will be for the single player game.

I'm fine with the outrage, even if it's a bit overblown. Fucking trans/fags and wannabe girl bosses ruined games the last few years. They deserve to be called out over and over and over again.

I haven’t been keeping up with this game that much but quick question… in order to play this game at 60 fps you need to purchase a $900 PS pro or wait until it comes out on PC?

I think the only confirmed FPS so far is 30 on the normal PS. People assume that Pro will be 60, but my guess is that the pro will at best be 60 on performance mode with the same graphics (or worse) as the regular PS5 and 30 on quality mode.

They shouldn't. I think Digital Foundry is most likely correct in their assessment. The game is going to be CPU bound and the small bump there from base to Pro isn't enough to get stable 60 fps even at 1080p. Safe bet is that it will just be a resolution jump to somewhere in the 1600-1800p range, depending on how much they can squeeze out of PSSR.

Still hoping they come to their senses and offer 40fps/120Hz balanced modes on all consoles even if it means dropping to 1080-1152 on base and 1440 or less on Pro, but it's starting to feel like a longshot at this point. Just seems like they'd have announced it if they were going to do it; they know full well how negative a reaction 30 fps gets nowadays.

They will figure it out 6 months to a year after the PC version releases and come out with a "definitive edition" to sell another box at full price.

Edit: I meant 40 fps, but my brain is pretty smooth as well.

Thinking any version of PS5 will be able to achieve 60fps is an indicator of smooth brain.

Yeah. I don't pay much attention to it but pretty much every optional romance in any game I can remember you just need to simp out for the love interest. The Witcher series might have some exceptions, I don't really know. I can't think of a single game with an optional romance where you didn't have to just be nice to them.

Relationship options that were only permissible when they were dysfunctional would be kind of refreshing, but I also couldn't give a shit about romance in games.
