Its pretty fucking sad that's a thing they built into the game and that a lot of people will do.
I dont get it myself but as long as I dont have to interact with it, its w/e. I'd say the only legitimate complaint I could have is taking away resources for things I like, but the people who enjoy that crap could say the same thing. I can see why, especially when apparently the online thing was very popular, so I can see something like that exploding even more and the flock of twitch streamers that will do both. Also got to hook another generation on their IP, who were too young for the last one.

They said if you are super naughty on the ingame socials they will ban you from them, but not like the game or online or anything. It shouldn't require much of an explanation into why, its bad PR if people are praising Hitler or blaming jews all over the place in game and Take Two isnt going to want the headache or loss in sales. People forget the only reason Twitter is essentially unmoderated is because Musk doesnt REALLY care if it makes money he just wanted to be in control of the flow of information, any profit driven company isn't going to drive away consumers.

That said I am sure its all AI moderating it, and I look forward to people trying to get around it by being Palestinian supporters or something and getting all the engagement bait articles created.
Policing speech in a game where you go around mass killing people is just a juxtaposition in clown world I find immensely funny and entertaining.

Reminds me so much of the internet today, at least major sites. Places like YT. They will show you people dying, getting hit by cars etc, but will bleep a curse word or blur a nipple. It's hilarious.

Not sure if its their actual beliefs or just doing everything they can not to get dog piled by the karens of the world and lawsuits.Could think the same thing here really, is it the developers or their mimic of the real world.

I can only laugh and shake my head.

I thought that 150 facts post said you won't be able to post content on the sim social media since your characters are trying to lay low. You'll be able to follow people though.

They have an ingame version of TikTok and Twitter AFAIK. The feature will be particularly online to become an actual influencer that other players can follow on their socials. So if can create meme, cool, funny moments you can post them and other people can follow etc. The option to actually live steam in game is also there. Based on how GTARP works this is likely their wheelhouse, all those players thrived on doing that and driving people to their twitch instead this way people without Twitch or whatever can follow those types of people right in game.
Rockstar poached top PixelM developers solely so they could create the in game phone OS. It has an app store and all kinds of retard shit. This is where the MTX will live. They just add an inception app into the app store on the in game phone.

You can doomscroll the in game TikTok/Facebook that is generated by random NPC activity in addition to other players. Or something. They will likely expand on this. They will do something that is pseudo-multiplayer. Kind of in the way Dark Souls functions for lack of a better way to describe it. Highly rated activity from other player's games will bleed into your game via the social media app.

I hate the future.

Going to be laugh out loud funny to read the Max Payne retcon, an even worse antihero character-- with existing canon to compare. At least what story they gave these characters was for an original character. Max Payne has 3 separate video games worth of character already in it's universe. It's going to be fall out of the chair funny.

Kinda neat. You can run Vice City and some other games directly on your browser. Tested it on my macbook, synced right up with my controller too.

You could do a great story with good and corrupt cops and criminals that go from small time petty stuff to being pushed into harder stuff or finding ambition. But that requires nuance. And the left and parts of the right suck at nuance. In particular though, American game writers don’t get nuance at all.
Would require some The wire style writing and we ain't getting that from a modern game 80 percent female studio.

Didn't check if this picture is legit, but it fits my narrative so I'll roll with it like everyone else does.

It's usually from a staff picture for women's Day or the like, from various studios/campuses. It's never an actual entire staff. You can look at in game credits for a better representation. Do people actually think these companies are 100% women? Not that anything resembling the truth matters.
