The folks over at Gog.com are releasing a remastered version of one of my favourite adventure games of all time, Grim Fandango. One of the best features (unless they muck it up) will be a new control system. I've already pre-ordered it since I lent my old CDs ages ago and have no idea where they are any more.

I'd buy it if Tim Schafer wasn't such a gamer hating SJW ass-hat. It sucks to not play it again but it will have to be a pass for me.

LOL

Tim Schafer is responsible for the original game.
We are well aware of that.

We are also aware Schafer is strapped for cash, and has extremely poor business sense, with a fairly long line of questionable releases.
This is a cashgrab. And, giving Schafer/Doublefine money before they show the quality of their product is a horrible idea.

GoG does have a 30day money back guarentee at least. but that is probably just going to hurt GoG if this remastering ends up shitty.

I did get burned by the Balder's Gate EE, but then again, I had still have a playable copy of that game. They don't have to do much to Grim Fandango besides get me a workable copy and I'd be pretty happy.

I've never personally been disappointed with a DoubleFine game. They can be weird, but Grim Fandango fits their M.O.

If only they would instead finish the game that was promised from the FIRST kickstarter before going down this route.....
