Yeah I know when I write a black chick in fiction I describe her as having bushy brown hair, getting suntanned in the summer, blushing, refer to them as looking like a panda after getting black eye, and having a father.

I could see Hermione being black, but with all the mudblood undertones Rowling probably chickened out. Why was she called a mudblood anyway which is usually an African slur. Being muggle born shouldn't she have just been a mugblood?

Besides all that Hermione is probably the author self insert character.

Dumbledore being gay isn't really a retcon though, it was just filling in a gap she left blank. It fits in so smoothly that she probably did always intend Dumbledore to be gay but lacked sufficient conviction in her beliefs to risk her book sales so left it out of the final cut.

The fact that Dumbledore was willing to let WW2 drag on for years due to his reluctance to confront Grindlewald suggests that there was more between them than the death of Ariana. Yeah, true - however (AKSHUALY.meme) with black characters they would use other ways of saying this, such as ashen - etc. because blacks do not blush, nor pale in the same % of color change because...of...their black skin... also the color change of fear is usually due to the draining away of blood, again, that does not / very much less affects blacks--- so while this is not "see she IS WHITE luluzlzulzuz" it is, also, yes she is white.
