Also IMHO there are two different set of players in Hearthstone. There is the tournament players, and there are the think tanks ( coaches)
Most people don't see this because we only showcase the people who are in front of the scenes, not the ones that are behind it.
I've talked to many pro circuit players, as well as read many interviews , and they all thank there teams for their success.
If you listen to even Firebat talk at the end of his HI run he attributes allot of his win to the hard work his team put in a year before the tournament.
So why is this relevant? I never thought Reynad was a good tournament player. He's had some wins here, and there but IMHO he is the guy you want working with a tournament player.
If you really think that guy is not one of the smartest people in this particular CCG then you don't follow Hearthstone.
Now on a personal level, Reynad carries himself as a colossal douchebag. How much of that is fake versus him playing a part, I'll leave that up to the stream monsters that care about such things.
