Yeah I just had a great one like that. I had an ogre +1d and shattered sun cleric against an empty board in arena. He casts leeroy and mind control tech to take the ogre of course. Gdi

Well, I'm just clowning around. The Ancient wasn't asking what the odds of the 10th flip being a specific result were, he was asking what the odds are for getting one specific combination out of 10 flips, which Littles posted was 0.5^10 = 0.0009765625
Almost.

The probability of getting one specific combination in 10 flips is 0.5^10, but there are 10 permutations, so the actual probability is 10*0.5^10 = 0.009766.

Another way of looking at it is that there's 10 combinations on getting one head in ten flips, and 1024 possible outcomes in flipping a coin ten times. And 10/1024 = 10*(1/2)^10 = 0.009766

I'm really fucking bad at this game, apparently. 1-3 with that deck.

I got Tirion out 3 of the 4 games. He was tapped by a small creature, shield slammed, then executed (same turn) by the warrior in game 1, polyed by the mage in game 3, and silenced, then 1 for 2ed by the Druid in game 4.

This is my second arena as a Paladin without ever seeing a TC, exactly one consecrate, and one hammer of wrath. Not amused so far. The RNG during draft hates me.

Wait, I lied. The warrior equipped Gorehowl and proceeded to kill two fatties in a row with it, second one being Tirion after he chump charged with a smaller minion.

I like what ancient has been doing (and I'm sure others as well ) - posting your arena draft and talking about what worked well and what roadblocks existed. Gonna try to start doing the same. I'm sure there are plenty of people here that find arena to be much more enjoyable than constructed.
How many games will I win?

This is my first time playing Rogue (just got it to level 13 off the wins with this arena), and playing it makes me laugh nervously because I don't know how to win with Rogue. Last game I was at 1 hp vs a Druid at 23.

Holy fuck, rank12-16 is like a wall of druids and warriors...All playing control. Annoying as fuck. This shitty hunter deck is not a good matchup for that.

What are people using to navigate the sargasso sea of control/counter decks?

Surprised you're seeing that much control at that rank. But the key to beating control is to play a slower, slightly bigger control deck. You could also swap to the cheap warrior aggro deck, it fares better against the mid range control decks than hunter does because you have things like arcanite reapers to remove the ancient watchers/yetis. Also mid-range shaman does well against today's popular druid builds.

Speaking of, wasn't this game supposed to get stale? Its been over 3 weeks since the patch and the meta is still changing every other day. Supposedly everything should be figured out by now and everyone playing one deck.

Predicting Water Elementals will turn out to be your MVPs if you get past 5 wins.

Thought of a 3 card, 17 damage combo for Warrior. Grommash, Alchemist, Inner Rage. If anyone wants to know why I keep fiddling with this, it is because Savage Roar+trees is just so strong @14 damage. I like it because one Alchemist is pretty useful (kills Pagle, Shaman Totems, also makes Ysera a 12/4 for a sudden burst, lots of applications) and of course Grommash+Inner Rage is 12, and the Inner Rage can be used for removal, card draw on Acolytes, etc. I'm just not sure what to cut.

Time will tell I guess. Four is too many flamestrikes for my taste but hey, I'm all about fucking around with weird decks in arena too sometimes. Might work out.

I'd give it higher marks but needs something more to feed off the minion deaths or spell casts.

Yeah, I switched to a Control Deck...And promptly ran into a bunch of warlock/murloc and warrior control decks. They were delicious.

UsingAntiGrav1tys Arena Draft Tiers v2.2 || www.twitch.tv/antigrav1tyI drafted exactly the better card value on every single pick. I allowed myself one override per draft. If two or more cards were worth the same value in a single pick then I can pick either one based on deck need or personal preference. The numbers on the right are the card(s) value in points from the above spreadsheet. Terrible is worth 1 point and Top is worth 8. Always Pick is also worth 8. The lowest theoretically possible (though probably impossible due to the programming) score for any deck is 30 (all Never Picks) and the most is 240 (all Tops). The classes I lost to. And the final result of the deck. I have no idea if this information reveals anything or not. I was going to gather more but hey, maybe some other people can add to it. *wink wink nudge nudge saynomore saynomore*

Looking back I would have done some things differently to be sure, but I guess that's part of the process. The Mage deck was probably the best deck. A good Druid with a good deck ate that deck up pretty good, fair enough. But then I ran into him again 2 games later, same result. The Paladin and I went to fatigue and I just ran out of gas but that was a good fight. But all 6 of those wins were steamrolls. That deck was wicked. 4 Flamestrikes is a real luxury let me tell you.

Well, since someone said they'd like to see more talk about arena decks, and I'm usually just commenting I'll throw my most recent one out there. Obvious weak point of this draft was the early game, I just never got offered 2 drops. While I had a lot of 4's, most of them aren't that great. I don't remember what the first loss was as that game was yesterday. The second loss was to a Hunter who got ahead of me and I was never able to catch up. The third loss was to fucking double Pyroblast, so fucking stupid. 6-3

XWDwfMW.jpg

Edit: Next draft. I better at least 8 with this or I'll be really sad. I wish I had some more early removal and a Lightning Storm, but the deck is pretty good. Going to cook some dinner then I think I'll stream it after
