Watched a streamer try it. he enjoyed it.

Quite a few streamers playing it, but something to be aware of regarding some streamers since it's published by Mad Mushroom. It's owned by OTK. Don't think they even put #ad on it since they own it. I know Sodapoppin didn't and Esfands title is just "HELL CLOCK RELEASE DAY! New Mad Mushroom Game!". CohhCarnage is also part owner of Mad Mushroom.

That said, reviews on Steam seem good so far.

Pretty solid loop.

Took me about 3 hours to clear act 1 and then called it a night. Act 2 skills seem neat, excited to try them out.

Runs OK on Steamdeck. Long load times and some major fps drops with a couple of builds I had going.

Almost finished Act 2.

There is a decent amount of depth for build variety and game is still unlocking skill tree and abilities.

Game unlocks a constellation tree similar to Grim Dawn that looks pretty good from scanning around it.

I get some really chunky frames at times, so I'll try tweak it a bit. I'm thinking I should cap frames at 60 vs. having it at 240 (my monitor is 240hz).

Yeah it's not well optimized. I thought it was just the steam deck, but I played today on main PC @4k res and I go from 240 monitor cap to ping ponging around ~100ish with some builds and mob density and the load times while shorter were still pretty noticeable. The visual clarity goes out the window too. I had almost full screen sized bells from AoE expansion just covering every mob, projectile and ground effect.

My other gripe is not being able to see your bank for relic rolls and the inventory management in general is kind of ass now that I have 4 pages full.

I did beat Act 2 and ran a half dozen floors into the third. I could have probably made it to the end, but there are shrines that spawn multiwaves that took me a solid 2+ minutes to clear (but they are worth doing). Need to figure out how to ramp damage higher cause surviving is pretty easy with life steal/conviction and a relic (or skill) that basically lets you perma stun bosses which should be nerfed in some way imo because you basically can't die on boss fights with it. It just takes forever to kill them and I can't imagine it was intended to let you plug away on a boss for 10 minutes straight.
