The gamut is so wide with Nicolas Widing Refn that it's impossible to know if it will be a masterpiece or absolute garbage. His last two efforts (that I have seen) are not a source of optimism though since both The Neon Demon and the mini-serie Too Old to Die Young have their moments but are mostly bad. Have not seen the mini serie he did in Danemark since though (Copenhagen Cowboy).

It's both as fucked up and awesome anyone seen Too Old To Die Young and Only God Forgives would expect. Questionable writing, interesting cinematography, "what's the point?" directing, top notch scenes, ultraviolence because why not, etc.
Refn hit everyone's buttons with Drive but if you hate his other work it's fine, he seems to wander around themes and atmosphere (hongkong 90', west coast 80') like any spoiled cinema student would dream about. Sometimes it's hit, most of the time it's miss. I mean the man revered Metal Gear's Hideo Kojima works so hard he both featured in Death Stranding, while giviing Kojima cameo in Too Old To Die Young.
I'll watch anything Refn but its flaws shouldn't be overlooked.

Webrip already found its way out on torrents without eng subs. Her Private Hell (2026) 1080p WEBRip-LAMA.

There is an eng sub titled Her.Private.Hell.2026.1080p.AMZN.WEB-DL.DDP5.1.H.264, but it doesn't continuously sync throughout the movie. Even if you correct it in the beginning, you need multiple shift corrections, and I can't be bothered because I don't want to jump through the whole movie and spoil it for myself just to correct it.

Same shit with the Her.Private.Hell.2026.1080p.WEBRIP.x264-DKS. The info says eng subs are included, but it's bullshit, and the available subs drift like with the LAMA release.

Official VOD release should be late August at the earliest, possibly September.
