I decided to put in new gutters today and thought to poke around in here to see what everyone else was up to.

Holy fuck.

I've been out of town for a week with work, but had a chance to stop by this morning and look at progress. Met the builder out and talked about things for about an hour and a half.

They've finished all the blocking, they were getting ready to pour additional material into the CMUs, should start the rest of the fill and compaction process this weekend / next week, and then be ready for plumbing walkthrough end of next week beginning of following.

We don’t have one of the lake view lots. That was just a view up by the soccer fields and what-not. All the lake view ones had pretty significant drop offs in the front or back and we wanted something flat for the kids. We have good views driving in but our road is lower elevation and flat. It was still $116k for .75 acre though.

Benn kind of slow going on the build front. Heat has been extreme and he's trying to time our house with MIL house adjacent to ours. Her lot is back filled and they're doing ours this week. We're tentatively scheduled to do plumbing walkthrough 8/3 or 8/4 with slab pour 8/7. They're going to do both houses the same day to save mobilization costs. If it is 100 degrees they won't pour, so hopefully we get a little break in the heat.

In the meantime, I've been working on trying to get quotes firmed up for things in our allowances and working with Claude to make a sort of Home Build Dashboard to track everything. It is getting there but not quite what I have in mind totally. Need to work on some of the visuals and layout. All the data is in and populated.
