We recently replaced the ceiling fan in my daughter's bedroom because the fan box was failing and pulling on the sheetrock. Now that she has a nice fan in there, I've noticed how little airflow the ceiling fan in our master bedroom moves. I'd like to replace it with something that looks good plus moves a lot of air. Our bedroom is pretty big (roughly 400 sq/ft). I'd like to go with a 72" fan but I'm worried it will look dumb and not move enough air (seems like people complain about the air flow on larger diameter fans). Anyone have a 60-72" fan that can chime in?

Whatever size fan you put in, make sure it is mounted a good distance from the ceiling. Too short, and the ceiling will stall out air flow through the blades.

I put one of these in our living room , it looked great and wasn't extremely expensive. Then another in our master BR when that fan died. I like them so much I'm thinking about replacing the other 2 in our house just because they work so well.

FYI I installed brighter lamps, I like to see. I didn't do any fancy remote control BS. I usually set them to medium and leave them either off or on.
