on a pressure washer?
I dunno, maybe if something is eating your trees you want to coat it with something and your hose or water pressure is too gimp to reach? Can't think of a more reasonable idea atm. I'm not much of a tree-ist though.

So… umm… my tree in my front yard is dead… its manageable to take down.

But replacement… i have two sprouts in my back yard i would like to transplant… is that a thing? Can i just kinda dig dig dig, cut and replant?

Sprouts that are like 7 years old lol…about 20-25 ft high and 6-8 in diameter i think they are some kinda oak?
Totally depends on the tree. I would identify the tree to help get an idea of the size of the rootball. A tree that large will really require an excavator to transplant and maybe even gradual root pruning (pruning roots months in advance of transplant).

Honestly is the juice worth the squeeze? Not all oaks are created equally mind you. It would probably be cheaper to just buy a slightly smaller southern live oak from a tree farm (usually cheaper than nurseries).

Looking for suggestions on lighting for my 16x32 gambrel shed with 8 ft front loft and 12 ft rear loft. See pic attached (doesn’t show full front loft ceiling).

shed will be used as workshop/storage. From my research 5000k temperature is probably best(?)

Is it worth getting something that’s dimmable with adjustable lumens like this https://www.lowes.com/pd/Lithonia-L...t-Switch-Multi-Volt-120-277V-White/5001920987 ?

Should strip light fixtures be run parallel to the 32ft wall? Should I get strip lights that are fixtures with replaceable T8 LED bulbs or just built in LEDs?

I was thinking for under the loft running double bulb 8 ft strips under rear loft parallel with longest wall and double bulb 4ft strips under front loft parallel with wall.

For the middle with no loft I was thinking of doing the same lighting as the rear - two rows of 2x bulb 8 ft (16 ft span of no loft here).

What about wrap around lights like this? When would you use these over LED strip fixtures?

I don't care what kind of fixture, but get a lot of lights. My constant frustration is not having enough lights in my shop. I doubled what used to be there and I need to at least double it again to be able to see in there. My eyes have gotten worse in my 40's as most people's do and it's so frustrating not being able to see what I'm doing. Especially when trying to get a really accurate measurement with a tape etc.

I personally don't see the point of using dimmable anything. To each their own. I have a 2 car garage that I use as a sorta shop. I have (12) 4' LED strips in it so you can do surgery in there. Another thing I did, I put an outlet at each light and the fixture plugs in to the outlet. That way If you need power in the middle of the shed/garage (i.e. need to vacuum out a car) you can just plug it into the outlet.
Also I put outlets on all the walls (excepting the garage door wall) on separate circuits with enough overhead on the panel that I can add a car charger if I lose my mind and buy an electric car.

I get a lot of use out of the dimmers in my TV room but in a shop I agree. Can't really imagine a scenario where you would want it darker in there.

Yeah. I have been told I waste a ton of weed. I just can't smoke em that low. Smoke gets too hot, start coughing. Pretty much why I use bongs.

Edit: I ALWAYS forget, we have goddamn forensic scientists on this board!

Dude coming out to patch this hole. Want to run it by you guys. This is not the company that put it in, because they don't seem interested in fixing their fuck up.

Guy wants to cut in, put rebar (blue), some sort of acrylic filler in the cement along with some sort of cement that has fibers in it to prevent cracking. For $250.

Does this seem like a good fix?

Seems like a good fix. Make sure he doesn't float the rebar too close to the surface, and make sure the soil below gets tamped adequately.

That seems like the Right Way (tm) to fix it, and I'm pleasantly surprised you can get any tradesman to come to your house for $250, never mind complete a job.

Thanks boys. Let's not get hasty, he hasn't shown up yet
they say if your grass is going dead to stab the soil with a screw driver like sharon stone to see if theres a rock or something underneath.

i'm sure you can also just go stab properly cured concrete after a while to see if you get any more "chips", if he's only going to come out for that patch, maybe theres more fuck ups to uncover
