Interesting. Seems Sony is letting NC Soft take the Horizon Zero Dawn IP and make a Monster Hunter World-like game (calling it a MMO too). Looks pretty good, tbh. Being made for PC -and- Mobile, no mention of PS5 (odd).

Is this the one where they were all suing each other because Horizon Zero Dawn's people told the CN company to fuck off, or is this a different release?

Just looked it up. That is 'Light of Motiram'. Makes a lil more sense why they rejected Tencent's offer if they were already doing deals with NCSoft.

And shit. It really does look like a MHW clone. What the fuck even is an MMO anymore. I wonder if they will end up beating Capcom at their own game with how bad the reviews on MHW are currently. It even had pop ups of 'wound formed' and shit. Though, the gameplay trailer looked mostly all solo just skimming it, so I wonder what the MMO elements are.

I guess it might be called MMO for marketing reasons only, that would be a plus in my eyes. I'm really not in the market for "bigger than a group" content these days. I would love more Horizon for the interesting setting, and a Monster Hunter style game seems perfect for it.

Looking at the trailers, its seems to be Hub based like MHW along with a 4 player party, plus "raids", so I guess that is their criteria for calling it an MMO.

this is interesting simply because of the meh factor in lastest MHW. if it can bring back some form old MH magic I did be all over it.
