I looked up this stat they mentioned in the trailer and that's exactly what it is. Around 500 people killed a year by these big fuckers. Apparently the "yawn" they do isn't a yawn it's a warning or threat. They can run up to 20mph on land

I wonder if the premise is the hippos escaped the Autobahn zoo in New Orleans during Katrina and fled into the wild to propagate. And I wonder whether or not the characters will have to team up with the alligators to take down the hippo threat.

This should be fun in all the wrong ways.

their leg bones are solid. heavy, they can trample like a boss.

they effectively don't bleed. they have inches of fat on the exterior of their muscle. so if yyo stab them with a knife. teh fat closes behind and shuts off bleeding.

if we ever uplifted hippos they would be our krogans
