These are low energy bluetooth devices that transmit their location/UUID.

Purpose being, you can spawn 3d gameobjects at them in augmented reality. So your app knows exactly where to place objects. Since GPS reliability makes it impossible to put a 3d object at a lat/lon, this is exactly what I needed to place objects in a particular spot in the real world.

Anyone mess with these things?? I bought this from Amazon:

Not personally, my only experience was when they rolled that out at the Apple retail locations. My understanding was that it would cause the Apple Store app to show information and purchasing options based on where the user was standing.

Super cool you can get them on amazon now. Might buy some to dick around with.

The amount of autism it took to get this working was stupid.

If you dick with it let me know and ill sherpa your way through xcode if you push to is.

You would need like 5+ to get a proper mesh network goin. 4 was pretty good, but not position good enough to track realtime positioning.
