Some comments...

Monster credits are just $ earned (unless there is a bug). Really bad name, as it turns out. But I love the little guy on the button...

The game will not go on forever, and it will slow down eventually. If it had a million players I'd keep pumping out content, but this is a hobby project, so... I am considering
adding more, but at that time the players are probably gone anyways.

But fun to see you are engaged!

I think there must be a bug.
I rolled over at about 8billion displayed total. (didnt get a screenshot, and looks like my progress was reset, since I didnt back it up..)
I rolled over at about 6h 20min.

if we look at my posts. 49.3% x 8b= 3.92b. checks out.
25.3%=2.024 b. is off a by a small amount.
12.1%=.968b. is off by even more.

intrinsics. make less sense.7.9%=.632b
26.2%=2.1b.

haus 27.3%=2.184b. he's also off it seems.


so, first we should look and notice I earned credits WAAAAY faster then intrinsic, and even haus. I was "playing" efficiently, with it on the second monitor for a bit while watching videos. so hitting chests every once in while. the Ready button. and doing quick math in my head for efficient upgrades.
we can also notice my passive income is much higher then theirs. by the time I rolled over, I think it 800k/second.

so, possibility, "ready button", and/or chests are adding to credits greatly. and not being logged into "total earned"

possibility, passive income is worth more then arena income for "$ earned) if we look at haus, and mine, it could be ONLY passive income is being counted. however, intrinsics 26%, with 2.3b passive, does not check out compared to my screenshot with 49% and 2.6b passive.

possibility gold/dagger? I don't think that shows up in the passive or arena totals.. I invested into that fairly heavy early. if thats not adding to the total visibly, that could account for the discrepancy.

I had to check the code. It is driven 100% by passive income per second, and nothing else (which makes the name even worse).

I slowly moved away from the importance of the arena, even if I wanted that to be the main focus. For browser reasons. Stupid throttling of invisible windows I wasn't aware of. The arena hardly runs if the window is not visible. The browser just says nope.

ah. ok, to clarify the system. how about rename it, the monster man to "the taxman". "he collects a % of your passive income, and at certain point, allow rebirth. " gives an implied death and taxes joke as well.

I like the concept and what you put together, it'd be cool to see a new iteration or whatever else you had/have in mind. These little idle shit games are crack for me b/c I don't have to pay attention.

Hell, I've had The Tower idle game running in Bluestacks for a year and a half b/c really all I do is click "Start Run" ever 12 hours and just let it go in the background, then every few days spend resources and start a new run.

I'm not that imaginative, I was mostly going to just add more tiers with more visual effects on the arena. Weapons, classes, etc. Half of this I lifted from Cookie Clicker, which seems to do everything right. That would have to be a completely new release, because there are only so many tiers to unlock, and people will have moved on.

This is where I'm at right now... Arena 336 , and the land of...

F U PINK LADY!!!!!

At this point I'm stacking ranks in Wizard after one rank in Zap Power. I've kill her around 50% of the time I see her now. Plan on letting it run overnight to see if I can afford Necromancer in the morning.

I'm still enjoying it, it has a nice spot on my side monitor to keep distracting me from shit I need to get done...

And debating if I'll have the wherewithal to hold out for Necromancer.

It seems no one is using rebirth. Not sure what to change though, X2 is pretty good.

I'm farming some monster credits before I use rebirth for the first time, but I'll admit it's kinda scary in its phrasing, that you're losing everything except the diamonds you earn from rebirth... does the x4 income for 8 diamonds really bring more to the player than losing everything and rebuilding it quicker than you got it the first time? It says you return stronger, do you actually get a damage buff permanently?

You get the permanent X2 / X4 bonus. You keep spare diamonds, if any (and they each give +30% income btw), and current monster credit XP. If that makes sense :)

So you really only gain the X2 / X4. But that cuts all waiting time in half, it does help a lot. It is at least supposed to be the fastest way to the final tiers. I took it myself, but I also find it fun to start over with double speed.

Thanks for the detailed explaination, I might do it once I farm enough monster credits to restart directly with x4 income, but right now I'm going to try and wait for the Necromancer grind, see if that speeds it up a notch. Currently kind of "stuck" around arena 315, curse that red-headed step-child.

Spoiler: there are not many tiers left. I can't really tell if it's worth it or not. I could add more tiers, I just thought hardly anyone would get that far ;)

I did rebirth twice already and you progress way quicker with the added income. Spending way too much time on this game.
