anyone played this? Buddy raved about it to me over the weekend, said he's burned out on AAA games but absolutely loved this weird, horror card building deck game which has some rogue lite elements. I'm not much for indie games but sounds interesting. Its on steam on PC only, I believe the authors previous game was Pony Island

lets play

looks kinda too weird for me and I don't really vibe too much with card games although I did enjoy the thing inside Witcher 3

curious if anyone played. buddy says its pretty short and a perfect halloween game

I've picked it up because I love deckbuilders but haven't gotten into it yet. Saw Dan playing it, he died and then he became one of the cards or something for his next attempt, lol.

Basically it's a deckbuilder and the evil you're playing with makes you get up and do some puzzle shit around the room sometimes or something... the narrative aspect reduces the replay value a bit.

The first part of this game is insanely good. It gets worse the longer it goes on.

I would gladly play nothing but the first section of the game as a standalone.

Each time you 'beat' a section of the game, it restarts - with a new set of rules, graphics, and game style. The first one is absolutely the best, the second one was the worst, the third one had potential.

The 'meta story' is interesting and I would like to see it continued, but I am doubtful.

Daniel Mullins does some amazing work, given the indie nature of it. Pony Island was not my sort of game, but the 'meta' around it was fun to watch unfold. I never bothered with Hex. This game was good, but it lost a lot of momentum with the changing styles.

I just started this.

I loved Pony Island that this guy made (spend the 5 or whatever hours playing it. Its good). This looks to deliver more of the same.

Trapper rekt me so far.
