Not seeing this move having legs or just not wanting to hold over the holiday?
Caught a nice move on all three so just taking profit, will reload on consolidation. We have rallied to a logical point, I'd be impressed if we just blast passed it but I don't think that is the most likely scenario. If we are in a frustrate both sides range then I want to just take the quick flips. Bulls win this fight going into month end we are going to 7000-7200

I considered selling puts on IBIT this morning when it was in the mid 49ish range. Wasn't opposed to owning some if it dumped, and thought it would be a good chance to dip my toes in the selling put pool. I've sold covered calls a few times, but never puts. Wouldn't have been a huge play, but figured I would get started in that aspect of the market.

Of course, if you finished this post, you can probably guess I didn't.
Start off selling monthlies around 20% below current strike. I'm currently doing this on tsla ibit and sofi. Do it on a red day with some decent iv for decent premiums. Close em out at 50 to 80% profit.

Anytime I want to enter a decent size position I sell puts or do a trailing buy. Mostly for 2 reasons, 1.) im not good at picking the entry point. I try to look for support levels and such but I’m either off by too much and miss the buy or too early and miss respectable downside and 2.) if I miss I still make some money(can often be in the 1% range for a week or 3% for monthly)

sounds silly but tying Up funds in a put for 1% vs tying them For the same week waiting on a specific price target just seems easier for me. Still possible to pick completely wrong strike and all that but these are multi-year positions for the most part.

Saw a story that Trump is preparing a bill to extend the ACA subsidies again for 2 years. This is essentially exactly what the democrats wanted to stop the shutdown.

Someone make it make sense…

  1. As mentioned.. TACO
  2. The Democrats were actually demanding a ONE year extension and NOT a 2 or 4 year. As they desperately want this to be a recurring emergency they can campaign off of.

Saylor runs a company with no actual revenue. So of course he needs "another" corporate jet. I swear I would love to see MSTR's books.
edit: by another, I mean he might be swapping out the old for the new, but I would want to see the reason why.

Rangoth is probably right Saylor thinks the bitcoin is his.

Legally it is....right? Property of MSTR/Strategy? You have zero right to the bitcoin when buying shares I think. So like any corporation, they can spend their purse at their discretion and unless its bad enough to constitute fraud or shareholder civil suit.....no takeses-backsies.

Follow through tomorrow and I think we can say BTC bottom is in at which point i will say I should have bought more.

I did normal knife catching of starting small when we broke 100k and then buying bigger as we went down normally not a recommended strategy. Better to wait for a defined bottom and buy on the way up but I did it the scrub way. In some way I'm frustrated with it because the higher buys have my total cost basis right at the critical level 93. I think I'm going to try to right my noob buying and increase position at 94+ and again at 100. Own more now than coming out of Spring.

I'm not crazy about the set up versus stocks, BTC does well when the QQQ are screaming risk on. This decoupled decline also means BTC won't have that energy with it has had prior. Lots of overbought sectors and stocks what I'm hoping is people move money into the beaten up position which is BTC as the fear of the decline subsides. If QQQ falls apart at a critical time it could ruin what could be a great run.
