Yeah spx been trying with 7k for too long, need to get those numbers up.
Looks like Davos jump started the speed of this cycle. Since today he announced a "framework" was reached for a deal. Which would now put us at step 8 to lead into this weekend.

How we feel about Bitcoin? Seems like its been sitting out the recent rally.

Might pick up som IBIT.
Historically..... BTC will tend to rally AFTER a Gold rally finishes/pops. Gold is still posting new ATHs, so BTC being somewhat subdued isn't that surprising to me.

Question is if we're really seeing an irrational bubble in gold/silver prices, or if this is the "new normal". If the latter, then I we'll be in "new discovery territory" with BTC.

I swear every time I mention a ticker here it immediately does the opposite of whatever I say haha. Btc down 2k since I posted that less than an hour ago.

Better to know what kind of bellwether you are than make the wrong assumption.

Entering tax season, time for an annual checkup of the old portfolio

This was supposed to be relatively mixed/balanced, but okay. It was just hanging along near or below market gains for years.

Somehow driving to work every day now feels even dumber.

I sold about 32 ounces (quarters) when it was in the low-mid 20's a couple years ago. Kind of sucks, but oh well.
Relative to my posting about copper in Politics... I also melt some silver as part of my metalcrafting hobby. I have purchased lots of "junk" silver jewlery which is .800 purity. Melt it down to make coins and things. Also a tiny pile of actual rounds which I bought ages ago (when it was around $15 an ounce).

Certainly nothing to declare "big pimpin" over... and if anything makes me a little sad now because I liked casting that junk jewelry into things, but now even the junk lots on eBay have gotten stupid pricey for instance:

That's 10.55 ounces, or effectively 9.76 ounces of actual silver. They want $750, and at spot today it's still a bargain with spot over $100 making it worth around $1000. It's crazy.

But I also believe this is pretty obviously a bubble, and going to pop. But even after it pops I won't be surprised if it only drops to $40 an ounce.
