I've been consolidating my account sprawl into Fidelity this year. Resulting in about 3/4 of my investments now being in my Fidelity account. The other 1/4 remains in my original Etrade account that I opened forever ago and that has been my main stock trading account for years for personal whatever. I do all of this online of course and have never had to contact them about anything.

I am bringing in the 529s I had at USAA (no idea why it did not occur to me to do this in Fidelity at the time, but I am retarded). I guess I should have realized that once you get >$1M in there or something you get VIP treatment. The moment I called I didn't wait for a single second and went right to someone in America to deal with the issue. Got their office number to text about whatever and how to call direct.

Quite nice actually!

I was wondering how you were swinging 2 jobs. Cvs makes sense. I got a second job with a bank. Those fuckers were on my ass all hours. Wasnt worth the hassle. No way to balance the meeting overlap
They did hound me but not because of the job itself. My manager was a (white) Nicaraguan grandma who had spent her entire career working deep in ancient healthcare databases. She had 5 grown children and was widowed. Seriously the nicest grandma persona you can imagine.

The problem was that she had literally nothing better to do but ask for follow ups and micromanage. Amazing person, terrible manager. But at the same time it made you feel bad for "letting her down." Strange situation for me lol.

Like most big corporate positions the job itself moved fairly slowly and was far less interesting than the much smaller startup style business I was also working at. But I did get to deal with truly massive scaling problems, from a data throughput and architecture perspective, and that was an excellent experience.
