I agree totally. I thought we were going for a point where she was going to get mistakenly targeted. The townsfolk and the native Americans would have then thought they had finally beaten IT. That would have set up nicely towards the future as nobody would have thought IT coming back was possible.

Jesus, I'm about halfway through the final episode and I can't stop laughing. They even have the goddamn tree from Tim Burton's sleepy hollow!

I would ratchet that up to around a 50-75% margin, but we got an old man indian calling other indians shit-asses. That really was the greatest moment of the entire show. There was also the pickle monster.
Sorry, this show was worse than the alien show, but probably more fun with it's just sheer hilarity.

They pulled that shit from the ending of Doctor Sleep. I'm still convinced that what they did was take AI and had it just go through every Stephen King trope or moment and throw everything into a blender and then spit out this abomination.

The writing is pretty bad overall. After like seven hours of show you still have to jam pack exposition in to almost everything. The last act is heavily self-referential. I don't have a problem with doing a Kersh wraparound and getting Sophia a paycheck but Halloran talking about getting a job as a COOK at a HOTEL and HOW MUCH TROUBLE COULD A HOTEL BE is rough.
If you're going to introduce Pennywise having multi-dimensional perception (at least while uncaged) then you really need to commit to it and kill Marge there. If you're not than it's just stuffing in more references in a show that has a lot of fucking references to the two films.

So this was hit and miss. A lot more miss regretfully. The one dagger to rule them all was very miss, and down right stupid. Once again the best parts were with Pennywise. I am not sure why The Mist made an entrance. I loved how the river froze over but when they defeated him, the river remained frozen along with the Mist remaining. IT having the ability to see through time was also a miss.
It had some interesting moments but I have no interest in watching this again.
